Fourth of July Firecrackers

 I know this post is REALLY late, but I still wanted to share it with you all. I love these things that much. I had posted it on another site and didn’t get any traffic. I more recently made these for a work function and they were gone in minutes. These will become a staple for all future family functions and parties.
When my family decided to get together for the Fourth of July, I immediately knew what I was going to make. These peppers are the perfect addition to any family BBQ or pot luck.
15 jalapenos
Sliced bacon
1 block of cream cheese
1 cup of shredded cheese of your choice
30 toothpicks
Cut jalapenos in half and remove seeds

Mix together cheeses

Spread cheese mixture into each of the jalapeno halves until all of the mixture is gone

Wrap bacon around each jalapeno and stab with a toothpick to hold the bacon in place
Place in a 400 degree oven for 25-28 minutes, or until bacon is crispy and cheese is bubbly.
The original recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction says you can keep leftovers for up to 4 days, or assemble and freeze for up to 2 months. Mine did not last that long on the 4th, they were gone in about 10-15 minutes.
